Nancy Murray ’90 Explains Why She Has Included Lewis & Clark in Her Estate Plan

Nancy Murray ’90I graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1990 and spent my career representing clients, primarily in commercial real estate transactions, housing and community development, and land conservation.

I began to get serious about planning my estate as I was preparing for retirement. I have long thought I would include Lewis & Clark Law School in my will because it has been instrumental in my life, providing me with an excellent legal education, ethical values, and lifelong mentors and colleagues.

After meeting with the law school development team, I was able to have drafted a planned gift that captures my deep respect for the work that the law school does to teach students to be good lawyers and advocates and, in particular, reckoning with climate change and protecting ecosystems and wildlife.
